Dreams are a way for the Unconscious to communicate with us while we sleep.  With dreamwork, we're working from the known to the Unknown.  The Unconscious uses images that are Known by the dreamer in order to reveal something not known.

Dreams are helpful because oftentimes we don't see the obvious in the waking state; so, that leaves the dream state as a place to inform us.

Using the Soul Expressions Dialogue system to explore dreams offers the opportunity to actually work "with" the different characters in the dream using a form of inquiry that resembles an interview.  By interviewing the characters, we find out more information than by merely looking at the symbology of the dream.  It's like getting "inside information" from the source.
